Vote Health believes that health care is a basic human right. Our mission is to win accessible, high-quality health care for everyone, regardless of legal status or ability to pay.
 
In our local communities, Vote Health educates, organizes and advocates to:

• Create a publicly financed (single-payer) health insurance system.
  
• Preserve and strengthen the health care safety net for low-income, un-insured and underinsured people until a universal system is in place.
  
• Protect the health of insured people from the ravages of HMOs and insurance companies.
  
• Protect the rights of health-care workers.
  
• Guarantee public participation in setting health care policy.
